The remembrance service was held in St Mark's Church. in High St. The Rev Jenny Chalmers and Carterton Mayor Ron Mark addressed the congregation during the hour- long service. They touched on the need for those affected to engage in the grieving process and talked about remembering and moving forward. Many of the country's leading media organisations were at the church to record the event, which marked one of New Zealand's worst aviation accidents of its kind.
