Patented in France and invented by doctors and scientists this advanced and computerised salon device filters out harmful ultraviolet light and infrared wavelengths ensuring a safe progressive hair removal system. When IPL is combined with our large spot size, treatments are fast, safe, virtually painless and cheaper than waxing. HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE REQUIED? The AdenaTM can only treat hairs in the growth phase. Approximately 20% of all hairs are in their growth phase at any one time. Certain "resting" hairs can also become active due to age and hormonal modifications. Other factors include hair colour and thickness. Everyone is different and several (an average of 4) sessions may be needed. After that, only one or two annual maintenance sessions are recommended. DOES IT GIVE PERMANENT RESULTS? Yes! Most hair will not grow back at all whilst other hair may grow back thinner and lighter. The AdenaTM is the hair management system preferred by over 2000 salons and clinics worldwide. It is virtually painless and provides lifetime results. You will wonder why you waited so long! DOES IT HURT? For most people there is virtually no pain. The feeling of the treatment is extremely variable from one person to another, it depends on the concentration of melanin in the skin and the size and density of the hair. Dressing up is all part of the fun By ANNE TAYLOR The 5km Greytown-Woodside walking and cycling trail is now open with the Greytown Trails Trust looking forward to its offic- ial celebration on Sunday, Febru- ary 3. It is staging Wairarapa s first Tweed Run , a chance for people to don their finest vintage clothes for a fun day. The trust is also calling for donations towards the cost of a lime surface for the final leg of the trail. The lime surface made the trail a lot easier to ride on at the Cotter St end, so we are aiming to do the same on Stage 2, says trust chairman Gerad Taylor. The lime costs $1 per metre and we don t currently have the funds for this, so we are hoping that people might be willing to contribute. The new trail is the result of three years of work by volunteers and support from a wide range of sponsors. The route follows the Woodside- Greytown branch rail line which opened in 1880 and ran until 1953. Stage 2 starts halfway down Woodside Rd and rises gradually to the station. Like Stage 1, it boasts heritage trees and has pic- nic spots and views of the Tara- ruas and eastern hills along the way. Organisers are hoping to attract Wellingtonians, regional Frocks on Bikes riders and other cycling groups to the event. The official part of the event will be held at the Woodside end of the trail at 11.15am, timed to coincide with the train from Wel- lington. People are invited to bring a picnic and refreshments will be available on the trail. There will be prizes for the best costumes and dogs on a lead are welcome. Tweed Runs originated in London and are an opportunity for cyclists to dress up in vintage gear for a light-hearted ride. The addition of lime at the Woodside end of the trail and some signage are the final tasks needed. There will be working bees and fundraisers to maintain the trail. Anyone interested in donating or running a Friends of the Trail group can contact treasurer Jenny Tosswill at jennytosswill @hotmail.com. Go to Greytown Trails on Facebook for updates. Tweed Run, Sunday, February 3, 11am onwards, Woodside, Greytown.
