Riders just need to drop their number in with Andy or Amber at Langlands and they will put you list to receive notifications of upcoming rides, events and trail riding. Sweeping the field: Masterton motocross rider Mason Wilkie is one of two top national riders sponsored by Sargent Motorcycles. Sargent Motocross backs the best Wairarapa is home to some fantastic motocross riders and Sargent Motorcycles in Carterton is a prime supporter of some of the best. Mason Wilkie and Adam Reeves haveearned themselves enviable reputations in their respective arenas nationwide. Reeves has won the New Zealand Cross-Country Championship three years running on his Yamaha YZ450F. As a testament to the versatility of the bike, the YZ450F is also Mason Wilkie's motorcycle of choice, on which he won the New Zealand TT Championship and is currently running 8th in the National Motocross Championship. Nathan Sargent provides material support for these riders in the form of sponsorship, and as a qualified mechanic, he also supports Mason Wilkie when he races on the national circuit. At just 21, Wilkie has been racing in the top echelon of New Zealand motocross for several years. His success in the TT demonstrates the special skills he possesses. TT is a form of racing held on flat terrain with fast sweeping corners, and Wilkie excels in this environment. With three years of domination at the Cross- Country Nationals on his Yamaha, Reeves, of Pahiatua, certainly seems to have this discipline sewn up. This version of motocross is very popular and requires a different range of expertise. Nathan says it is great to be able to give these top riders the support they need to be able to mix it with the best, and further their careers. As a rider himself he knows what commitment it takes to succeed at the top level. Sargent Motorcycles also sponsors the sport locally. They are the major supporter of the annual Martinborough Motocross Club's competition, the Sargent Motocross Series. However, Sargent Motorcycles are not just about the motocross field. They are also service the rural sector and recreational motorcyclists.
